Joshua Gross brings healthcare experience to Polaris
MILFORD — Joshua Gross will serve as admissions director for Polaris Health & Rehabilitation Center at the Milford Wellness Village (Polaris), the innovative residential and rehabilitative nursing care facility. Mr. Gross is an active Milford community member and nursing care professional.
Polaris, which opened in March 2020, continues to grow toward reaching its 150-bed capacity. Mr. Gross is responsible for facilitating all aspects of a smooth transfer throughout the admission process at Polaris. He develops and maintains referral relationships with local hospitals and other medical care providers to assist with patients requiring placement. Many of his additional tasks include coordinating pre-admission interview screening, conducting tours and providing updates and resources to residents and their family members.
“Customer service is a big part of my daily work. I take great pride in being able to help families place their loved ones in the best environment for the needs of the patient,” Mr. Gross said in a prepared statement. “My familiarity with Delaware and Sussex County allows me to understand the needs and services of the nursing care environment and to utilize my ongoing relationships to connect with residents and family members.”
Prior to Polaris, Mr. Gross was the director of Admissions and Marketing for nine years at a nursing care facility in Millsboro. He is originally from Northern New Jersey where he attended Morris College and moved to Delaware almost 20 years ago.
Mr. Gross works with the entire Polaris team to help provide quality services for long-term and short-term care residents, including physical, occupational and speech therapies, a state-of-the-art gym, palliative care and pain management, dental, podiatry and optometry care, as well as many other healthcare services. Polaris is located at the heart of the Milford Wellness Village, and it is part of Nationwide Healthcare Services’ network of outstanding nursing care that spans across Delaware and southeastern Pennsylvania.
“Our goal is to provide the necessary healthcare services that meet the needs of all residents and families that seek our care,” said Nationwide Healthcare Services CEO Meir Gelley. “Josh plays an important role to make Polaris a warm and welcoming environment for everyone. Residents can expect nothing short of our consistent delivery of exemplary short-term rehabilitation and long-term care.”
In addition to his professional experience, Mr. Gross is also very involved in the Milford community as a volunteer with the Second Street Players at the Riverfront Theatre. He previously served as the president of the Board of Directors for 10 years and remains active with the organization where he regularly interacts with community members and organizes fundraising events and helps manage the theater’s operations.
“I enjoy getting out and talking to the community about what Polaris can do for the area and most importantly to help their loved ones get the care they need,” said Mr. Gross. “Milford is a welcoming community to everyone and a great place to live and work.”
Polaris offers a full range of on-site therapy services, managed under the expert direction of its medical team, with a focus on addressing each individual’s treatment needs. It seamlessly harmonizes state-of-the-art post-acute services and a homelike environment with the most compassionate care. It honors the wonderful diversity that is distinctive to the southern Delaware community as it strives to make each resident and patient truly feel at home and welcome here.
