Nationwide Healthcare Services announced today it is now accepting inquiries for residents to receive care at its state-of-the-art Polaris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Polaris is located within the new Milford Wellness Village, where residents throughout southern Delaware have already started receiving healthcare services.

Polaris anticipates opening its doors to residents in the coming weeks, eventually reaching its 150-bed capacity over time. It will be part of Nationwide’s outstanding nursing care network that spans across southeastern Pennsylvania and Delaware, which includes Hockessin and Wilmington.

“We are excited to bring our premier nursing care services to Milford in an environment that is warm and welcoming for everyone,” said Nationwide Healthcare Services CEO Meir Gelley. “Residents can expect nothing short of our consistent delivery of exemplary short-term rehabilitation and long- term care.”

Polaris will include many quality services that are provided at all of Nationwide’s facilities, including physical, occupational and speech therapies, a state- of-the-art gym, palliative care and pain management, dental, podiatry and optometry care, as well as other medical services. Additionally, residents will be offered first-class amenities such as chef-prepared meals, beauty salon and barber services, and recreational and social programs.

“Our goal is to provide the necessary healthcare services that meet the needs of all residents and families that seek our care,” said Gelley. “Polaris will complement the array of high-quality services that will be located throughout the Wellness Village. Milford Community and Polaris’ residents will be able to take advantage of having so many services within close proximity.”

The facility will be at the heart of the Wellness Village, located at the site of the former Milford Memorial Hospital. The Wellness Village is an innovative, multi-use development that integrates health, education, housing and many other services. La Red Health Center opened last year and several other businesses will be opening soon – such as Aquacare Physical Therapy, Kidz, Inc. Academy, a day care center with an added dimension of socialization and learning for their child, and Nurses ’n Kids, a day care center for children with acute & chronic medical needs.

Nationwide encourages residents, families and others interested in nursing care to contact 302-503- 7650 to speak directly with a Polaris team member.

“We want the community to know we are opening our doors and welcoming everyone to see firsthand the caring environments we provide,” said Gelley.
